Passport, ID card, visa, residence card (karta pobytu), PESEL application, driving licence - taken and printed on the spot at our studio on ul. Królewska 2 in Kutno.

In short: we take and print document photos while you wait - a few minutes from start to finish. Photos meet current requirements (35x45 mm, light background, neutral expression). You get printed copies and a digital file. No appointment needed.

Which documents we cover

A document photo is not an ordinary picture. Dimensions, background, lighting and head position all matter - and offices reject photos that do not comply. At Pan Fotograf Studio, ul. Królewska 2 in Kutno, we shoot to current specifications and print on site.

Residence card (karta pobytu): digital photo for the MOS system

Important change: since 27 April 2026, applications for temporary residence, permanent residence and EU long-term resident status are submitted online only, through the MOS portal (mos.cudzoziemcy.gov.pl). Instead of printed copies, the system requires a digital photo file.

MOS requirementSpecification
File formatJPG only (PNG, HEIC and WEBP are rejected)
Minimum resolution684 x 883 px (width x height)
Maximum file size2.5 MB
ProportionsMust match a 35 x 45 mm photo
Face in frame70-80% of the image height
BackgroundPlain, light, no shadows

We photograph you in the studio and hand you a ready MOS-compliant JPG file - correct pixel dimensions, correct proportions, correct background - plus printed copies if you want a backup. The MOS portal has no built-in photo editor: if the file does not meet the specification, the upload simply fails and you cannot continue your application. We prepare the file so this does not happen.

CUKR card: the same biometric standard applies to the CUKR residence card available to Ukrainian citizens who have held PESEL UKR status. We prepare that photo too.

For foreign nationals living in Kutno

We regularly photograph clients applying for a karta pobytu (residence card), PESEL number or a national visa - including people from Ukraine, Spain, Colombia and other countries. Bring your paperwork if you are unsure about the required format; we will check the specification with you and take the photo accordingly.

You do not need to speak Polish. We will guide you through it. If you know the destination country for a visa, just tell us - each country has different size and background rules, and we set them correctly.

Why not a photo booth or phone selfie

Photos from booths or phones are frequently rejected by offices: wrong background shade, uneven lighting, shadows on the face, incorrect head size within the frame. We control the background, use even studio lighting and verify proportions - so you do not lose a trip to the office and have to come back.

How to prepare

How long does it take?

Usually just a few minutes. We take the photo and print it on the spot, so you leave with finished prints and a digital file.

Will the photo be accepted by the office?

Yes. We shoot to the current requirements (dimensions, background, head position), so your photo is accepted for ID cards, passports and residence cards.

Do you take photos for a karta pobytu (residence card)?

Yes. This is one of our most frequent requests. The photo meets the requirements of the Voivodeship Office.

Do you take visa photos?

Yes. Different countries have different size and background rules - tell us the destination country and we prepare the photo to that specification.

Do I need an appointment?

No. Simply come to the studio at ul. Królewska 2 in Kutno during opening hours.

Do you speak English?

We will help you through the process. The photo requirements are what matter, and we handle those for you.

What photo do I need for the MOS residence card application?

Since 27 April 2026 the MOS portal requires a digital JPG file, at least 684 x 883 px, up to 2.5 MB, keeping 35 x 45 mm proportions. We photograph you and hand over a ready, compliant file.

Can you prepare the photo for a CUKR card?

Yes. The CUKR residence card for Ukrainian citizens with PESEL UKR status uses the same biometric standard, and we prepare that photo and file.
